  14. iMac to Ship on August 15.
  15. During MACWORLD Expo, Apple announced that its highly anticipated iMac consumer computer will debut in U.S. stores on August 15 -- right on schedule. Apple also announced that a variety of popular consumer software will come bundled with the iMac and that, by  popular demand, all iMacs will ship with a 56-Kbps modem.
